VAT collection is an optional feature and may not be turned on for your site by default. If you do not see a 'VAT' page under the 'Commerce' heading, email support@bibliopolis.com and ask us to enable it.
When VAT is enabled, your checkout can collect a customer's VAT registration number and show a short VAT note on the billing form. This is useful if you sell to VAT-registered businesses.
Once it is enabled, click 'VAT' under the 'Commerce' heading in the Control Panel menu. From there you can:
- Turn VAT collection on.
- Set the field label shown to customers (for example, "VAT Number").
- Add an optional description that appears next to the field at checkout.
When you are finished, click 'Save.'
