After you upload a file, Amazon processes it row by row and produces a processing report listing anything it rejected. A batch with some failures is normal on any Amazon integration; each failure class has a clear fix.
"Product is not in the catalogue" together with "SKU is associated to more than 1 GCID"
The item's ISBN matches more than one entry in that marketplace's catalogue, so Amazon cannot tell which edition you mean. Assign the exact ASIN with the Assign ASINs tool (see Assigning ASINs to items without ISBNs), then delete the stuck SKU in Seller Central and re-upload. Listings showing a Missing Information status in Manage Inventory are usually this same case.
"You need approval to list this brand"
Amazon gates some brands and publishers. Apply for approval in Seller Central; this is between your seller account and Amazon.
"Your selling price appears to be higher than expected"
Amazon compares your price to its own estimate of what the book should cost, which regularly misfires on rare and collectible books. Two remedies:
- Turn on Price protection bounds in the Amazon Files settings. Your files then carry a minimum and maximum allowed price for every item, based on its own price, so Amazon checks against your bounds instead of its estimates.
- Genuinely collectible copies can be listed under Amazon's Collectible conditions, which are judged differently on price. Your account needs Collectible approval on each marketplace, and your condition wording needs to map to Amazon's collectible grades; contact us and we will make sure your conditions map correctly.
"Your product details aren't complete enough to find a matching ASIN"
The product genuinely is not in that marketplace's catalogue, and upload files can only attach offers to products that already exist there. For the occasional item like this, create the product once in Seller Central (Catalogue » Add Products); after that, your files maintain the offer like any other item.
"Fulfillment Channel Code" or shipping errors
Make sure the shipping group name in your Amazon Files settings exactly matches a shipping template that exists in that marketplace's Seller Central. Files are generated as seller-fulfilled.
If a whole upload fails, or a rejection does not match anything above, send us the processing report and we will take a look.
