What each marketplace can sync

BookRouter™ lists your inventory on every venue you sell through. How much of the order conversation it can have with each one depends on what that marketplace opens up. This chart is the honest version: what works today, and where the limit is somebody else's.

Why the gaps are where they are

Amazon and eBay will not accept a cancellation from us

Both marketplaces keep seller cancellations inside their own systems, in a part of their platform that is not open to us for this purpose. Cancel the order in Seller Central or Seller Hub so the buyer is refunded properly, and mark it cancelled here to keep your records straight. BookRouter says so plainly in the confirmation rather than pretending the message went out.

AbeBooks, Alibris and Biblio do not tell us what you did on their site

The sync runs both ways only on Amazon and eBay. On the other three, an order you ship or reject inside the venue's own dashboard keeps showing as New here until you update it. That is not carelessness on our part: those channels give us a list of new orders, not a running status feed. If you work orders on their site, mark them off here too, or use Mark all New as Shipped periodically.

Returns and refunds are only open on two venues

AbeBooks and Biblio both let a refund be raised from outside their own dashboard, so BookRouter offers it on those orders. See Issuing a return or refund. Alibris, Amazon and eBay keep refunds inside their own systems, so those have to be issued there.

Antiqbook has no order feed at all

Antiqbook receives your listings but sends nothing back, so Antiqbook sales have to be recorded by hand. The quickest way is the Sell Item button on the inventory record, which drops the quantity and updates the other venues for you.

viaLibri works differently on purpose

viaLibri is a referral service, not a marketplace. Shoppers who find your book there buy it on your own website, so those sales are ordinary website orders and appear under Orders, not here.

This chart changes as marketplaces open up more of their systems. When a venue starts allowing something new, it is added here.
