Printing packing slips for marketplace orders

Every marketplace order can be printed as a packing slip in your own branding, without logging in to the venue. One marketplace, Alibris, requires you to use theirs instead, and BookRouter™ puts that one in front of you.

Printing a slip

Open the order from Sales & Customers › Marketplace Orders and click Print packing slip at the top right. You are asked whether to include item prices, then a PDF is produced for you to print or save.

The slip is a fulfilment document: it leads with the shipping address, shows the shipping method the buyer chose, lists the items and quantities, and carries any notes on the order. It does not show billing details or a payment summary, because the marketplace has already taken the money.

Prices on the slip

The prices checkbox is offered every time, so you can decide per order. Its starting position comes from your own preference under Settings › PDF Templates, in the Document Details card. Many sellers leave prices off for gift-friendly shipments and turn them on when a customs declaration or an invoice-style slip is wanted.

Your logo, colours and business details come from the same document appearance settings your invoices and receipts use, so slips match everything else you send out.

Alibris orders need the Alibris slip

Alibris supplies a pre-formatted packing slip for each order and requires you to ship with it. On an Alibris order you will see a notice with an Open packing slip button that takes you straight to theirs.

The generic Print packing slip button does not satisfy the Alibris requirement. Use the link on the order, which opens the slip Alibris generated for that order.

Alibris orders also carry an order source. Some are shipped to an Alibris distribution centre rather than to the customer, and the address on the order reflects that. Ship to the address shown.

Website orders

Your own website orders have the same slip, plus a receipt. Both are on the order page under Sales & Customers › Orders.
