Getting listed on viaLibri

viaLibri is the meta-search engine for rare and used books, and it works differently from the other marketplaces: instead of BookRouter uploading files to it, viaLibri harvests XML feeds published from your website. Buyers who find your book on viaLibri click through to buy it on your site.

Getting listed

  1. Contact viaLibri and let them know you use BookRouter, so they can enable Harvest for your shop.
  2. Email support@bibliopolis.com to activate the XML feeds on your account.

Once both sides are on, the viaLibri page under Routing > Marketplaces shows your two feed addresses, and viaLibri collects them on its own schedule. Your Dealer Info (phone, website, address, description) on that page is what viaLibri displays for your shop.

Keeping it current

The feeds refresh automatically as your inventory changes. If you ever need to force a rebuild (after a large offline change, for instance), the Rebuild XML Feeds button on the viaLibri page regenerates them on demand.

No pricing rules here: viaLibri shows your website prices, because the sale happens on your website. Per-item visibility is controlled by the Meta Searches toggles on each item's Marketplaces tab.
