BookRouter™ websites can comply with the EU's Right of Withdrawal — a consumer's 14-day right to cancel a purchase and get a refund (Consumer Rights Directive / Directive (EU) 2023/2673). This is not the same as GDPR: the Right of Withdrawal is about cancelling a purchase, while GDPR is about personal data. Turning it on
Open Website › Site Settings › Business Profile and find the EU Right of Withdrawal section. (In the legacy admin this lived on the Company Info page.)
- Set Enable to on. This adds a clearly-labelled withdrawal (order-cancellation) link to your website footer.
- Display for — show the link to EU visitors only, or to all visitors.
- Notify (email) — where new withdrawal requests are emailed (leave blank to use your Orders email address).
- Click Save.
Customers complete a two-step declaration and receive an automatic confirmation email; their request then appears under Customers › Manage Withdrawals for you to action.
