By default, email from your store is sent from noreply@bookrouter.com. This helps ensure reliable delivery and keeps messages from being flagged as spam.
If you would rather have store email sent from your own email address, your domain first needs to be verified. Verification requires adding two small records to your domain's DNS. These records authorize our email service to send and sign messages on behalf of your domain.
Start with your Store Profile
In your admin, go to Settings › Account › Store Profile.
The email section will show you the two DNS records needed to verify your domain:
Return-Path record
DKIM record
Once the records have been added, return to the Store Profile page and click Check. The page will confirm when your domain has been successfully verified.
DNS changes often take effect within a few minutes, but occasionally can take several hours.
Who manages your DNS?
If Bibliopolis manages your DNS:
You don't need to make any technical changes yourself. Just let us know that you would like your store email to come from your own address, and we'll add the necessary records for you.
If you manage your own DNS:
Copy the Return-Path and DKIM records shown on the Store Profile page and add them through your DNS provider, such as your domain registrar or Cloudflare. Then return to the Store Profile page and click Check.

SPF settings
Some long-standing domains may have this entry in their SPF record:
include:spf3.bibliopolis.com
This was used by an earlier version of our email system. With our current delivery service, the Return-Path and DKIM records are what authenticate email sent by your store.
The older SPF entry is generally safe to leave in place, but it is no longer required for store email. If you're considering removing it and aren't sure whether something else still relies on it, check with us first.
Recommended: Add DMARC
We also recommend adding a DMARC record with a monitoring policy (p=none).
DMARC provides an additional layer of email authentication and helps mail providers identify legitimate messages sent from your domain. A p=none policy is for monitoring and does not tell receiving mail systems to reject or quarantine messages.
