Upper wrapper a bit soiled, some offsetting and spotting to a few leaves, snags at two corners of die-cut window, else very good. "First draft" of the script for this adaptation to the screen of Knowles's first novel. Laid into this copy are several leaves of carbon and photocopied typescript pertaining to shooting schedules, location scouting, etc, and there are a few relevant annotations in the text. The 1972 film was directed by Larry Peerce.
