A few illustr, the earliest two issues in 1922 are 19 x 12, the remainder are 21 x 15, Sept 28, 1922 - Mar 8, 1923 are 4 pp, the rest are 6 pp except for Apr 9, 1924 which is 8 pp. Overall condition: tears, staining, offsetting, creasing, splitting along folds, staining, toning, pencil notes, spotting, some issues are in better condition than others. New Orleans, 1845 One 10 x 16 sheet of lined paper folded once, with writing on three panels, the fourth used as postal cover, folds, tear with loss of writing (Neilson's note) from wax seal being opened, toning, wear else a nice example. William Neilson of New Orleans requests an appointment from the new President for his father (in Baltimore, at the customs house) though he relates in his long letter his own joblessness. On first panel is autograph letter of recommendation signed for Neilson from a John B. Grayson (Capt. US Army) and an AUTOGRAPH LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION SIGNED FROM EDMUND PENDLETON.... more information

Detroit, 1993 1.5 x 1.5, gold colored metal with blue lettering and a blue rim encircling center image which is that of the seal of Detroit, on the badge: John D. Clark III, Director, City Airport, City of Detroit, Michigan, stamped on the back is March 24, 1993. The "l" in Clark is blurry and stained, light wear else good condition. Detroit City Airport, located at Gratiot and Conner, was built in 1927. In its early years it was purported to be the busiest commercial airport in the US, and it was the area's principal passenger terminal until the end of WWII..... more information

Contains much on Oregon Territory & the 49th Parallel, California, slavery and Kansas/Nebraska, Mexican War (Wilmot Proviso), British bullying, etc.; includes letter from the Secretary of War (he was Jackson's) concerning Indiana's Harbor at Trail Creek, with two identical map present; also three copies of Cass' speech in the Senate on the Clayton-Bulwer Treaty (concerning a proposed canal in Nicaragua), a couple on Cuba, etc. Interesting lot.
