FAQ #3: What is BookHound 8?
BookHound 8 is a full-featured, inventory management database system based upon BookHound 6 and BookHound 7ce and built with FileMaker Pro 11.

How do I get BookHound 8?
BookHound 8 is avaliable for Mac OS 10.4 - 10.7 (Lion); a Windows version will be available in Summer 2012. Contact support@bibliopolis.com.

How much does BookHound 8 cost?
$450 (includes Basic support).

Is there an upgrade price for owners of previous versions of BookHound?
Yes, the cost of BookHound 8 is $269 for registered owners of BookHound 5, 6 or 7ce.

Are there any other discounts available?
Yes, current and prospective e-commerce clients of Bibliopolis will be offerred the upgrade price.

I want to run BookHound on more than one computer at the same time. How do I do this?
While BookHound 8 needs no extra software to run on one computer, you will need to purchase a FileMaker Pro 11** license for each computer on the network

FAQ #1: Bookhound 6 and Lion OS
Which Macintosh operating systems will Bookhound continue to work on?
Bookhound 6 is compatible up to, and including Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6.8) but not Lion (Mac OS 10.7.x).

I have Bookhound 7ce. Will it work on Mac OS Lion?
Yes, Bookhound 7ce runs on the latest Windows and Macintosh operating systems (including Lion). However, Bookhound 7ce is no longer commercially available.

I have Bookhound 6 for Windows. Do I need to upgrade?
If you are running Bookhound 6 on Windows XP/Vista/7, and are not experiencing any problems, you do not need to upgrade.*

I have just upgraded to Lion and my Bookhound 6 will no longer work. I'm stumped?

FAQ #2: Technical Support
What support options are available?
Bookhound comes with Basic support which includes help with installation, recovery of damaged files, and 30 days of usage assistance, M-Sat, during regular business hours.

Our Premium support package is available for versions 6 and up. The cost is $299 for 1 calendar year and includes phone support; tips, tricks, and workarounds; minor customizations, and advanced-use consultation, extended hours and Sunday availability. Support for customers without a Premium package is per-incident and billed in 30 minute increments at $45/half hour.
