NOTES OF A DIRTY OLD MAN - REVIEW COPY
Price: 450.00 USD
San Francisco: City Lights Books, 1973. First Printing of this edition, preceded by the 1969 edition published by Essex House. About Fine and unread, with just the faintest trace of sunning to the spine panel. This is a Review Copy, with the publisher's printed and stamped slip laid it. City Lights published just 5,000 copies for the first printing, a fraction of the initial print run for the Essex House edition (28,000 copies). The volume collects a large portion of Bukowski's "Notes of a Dirty Old Man" column which he wrote for Open City between May, 1967 and February, 1969. The column and subsequent publication of the book made Bukowski more famous than nearly anything else he did in his career. Without exception, every copy of this title which has passed through our hands has been read to death; a fresh, unread copy such as this one is genuinely uncommon, and especially scarce as a Review Copy. Krumhansl 29b. First Edition Thus. New.
